Quiz time (26): In Which battle 3,000 Muslim Soldiers (At prophet (saw) time) met 200,000 enemies & got victory over them?

Ans: The Battle of Mu'tah.

Their (Romans) abuse reached its peak when they killed Al-Haarith ibn ‘Umayr Al-'Azdi, may Allah be pleased with him.

Consequently, the Prophet, (pbuh), called the Muslims to go out to fight the Romans so that he would discipline them and put an end to their barbarian conduct. Quickly, three thousand warriors assembled and the Prophet, (pbuh),, allocated three standards to three leaders to whom the Prophet, (pbuh), decided to assign leadership of the army in tandem to. He (pbuh), said: "If Zayd ibn Haarithah is wounded, let Ja‘far ibn Abi Taalib succeed him. If Ja‘far is wounded, let ‘Abdullaah ibn Rawaahah, succeed him."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Having assumed leadership, Khaalid, may Allah be pleased with him, wanted to save the Muslim army in a way that would maintain its entity and cause dread in the enemy. In his opinion the solution was to retreat and give the enemy the impression that new reinforcements had come to the Muslims. He kept his ground in the battlefield until night fell and he utilized the darkness to change the warriors' positions, replacing the right wing with the left and the vanguard with the rearguard. He commissioned his cavalry to create clouds of dust and noisy clamor. Therefore the Romans thought that the Muslims were provided with reinforcements, so they lost power and the Muslims launched a fierce attack against them. Khaalid, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that he broke nine swords fighting, with nothing remaining in his hands but a Yemeni saber.

Thus, Khaalid, may Allah be pleased with him, managed to return with the army to Al-Madeenah with a small amount of potential losses, and killed numberless Romans, which constituted a great victory to Islam and Muslims.

That was the battle of Mu'tah, which was full of valuable lessons. Once a person has read about its incidents, he cannot help but admire the Muslim combatants – those amazing soldiers, 3,000 in number, who faced the immense army of 200,000 warriors.

The battle of Mu'tah is, according to all military criteria, a miracle and a supernatural event. The battle rendered the enemy face to face with the Islamic military principle that the Muslims would fight others based neither on troops nor military gear. Instead they fought by virtue of their religion. If we intend to fight sincerely for the sake of Allah and exhaust available means of military preparation, victory will be ours by the permission of Allah.

Quiz time (25): Who was the first person to introduced Innovation/Bidha Celebration of Al-Mawlid un Nabi in Islam?

Quiz time (25): Who was the first person to introduced Innovation/Bidha Celebration of Al-Mawlid un Nabi in Islam?

Ans:  1) Baatini Ismaeeli Obaidis. (First in Shia community).

         2) Al-Muzaffar Abu Sa’eed Kawkaboori. (First in Muslim community).

Al-Muzaffar Abu Sa’eed Kawkaboori was the Sultan of Irbl, He was the first one in Sunnis who celebrated the mawlid OPENLY and he followed Umar ibn Muhammad al-Malaa who used to say good things about Mawlid, and he was assisted by Ibn Dahiya who wrote a first book ever on mawlid. Umar Ibn Muhammad al-Malaa followed Shias in celebrating the Mawlid of Prophet peace be upon him, And Shias followed Christians.

1. Shias (Baatini Ismaeeli Obaidis) followed Christians because Christians take the the day or night of the birthday of Jesus aleh salam as a day of celebration.

2. Umar ibn Muhammad al-Malaa who used to be a pious person followed Shias i.e. those who started the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, the birthday of Ali bin Abi Talib, the birthday of Faatimah al-Zahraa, the birthday of al-Hasan and the birthday of al-Husayn.

3. al-Muzaffar Abu Sa’eed Kawkaboori followed Umar ibn Muhammad al-Malaa and He (Abu Saeed kawkaboori) was assisted by Umar Ibn Dahiya who wrote first book on Mawlid.

See the details in Subh al-A’shaa Volume 3 pages 5202-503, al-Khitat Volume 2 page 347 and other books.

Now, We don’t need to see the biographies of Christians and Shias because they are already deviants even according to those (likes of Brailwis) who follow them (Shias and Christians) in celebrating the birthday. But if someone is interested then see this regarding Ubaydi (Fatimid) state.

Biography of al-Muzaffar Abu Sa’eed Kawkaboori (549 h– 630h)

It is not important to see the biographies of Ibn Dahiyya and Malik Muzaffar because we know that Mawlid was started by Shias and not a single Companion, Tabiyeen and Itteba Tabiyee and four Imams celebrated Mawlid. But still the biographies of Malik Muzaffar and Ibn Dahiya are quoted here just because some people are creating so much problem to deceive the lay people that Ibn dahiyya and Malik Muzaffar were great scholars, they make them like Prophets who should be followed.

a) Allama Yaqoot al-Hamawi (575h -626 h) who lived at his time said al-Muzaffar Abu Sa’eed Kawkaboori (549 h– 630h).

He was very unjust, Very harsh and oppressive on his people, He took the property of people without any reason. And with that he also spend on the poor and he provided a lot of charity to ghuraba and spend so much money to free the captives from infidels, The poet said regarding this Like that (woman) who gives charity from the earnings of her private part.***Woe to you (O woman) do not commit adultery nor give the charity. [Mojam al-Bildan 1/138]

b) Ibn Khilkaan who also lived at his time.

He wrote about him in detail as he was eyewitness of his Mawlid, He praised him and said

“When it is the first of Safar they decorate those domes with various kinds of fancy adornments, and in every dome there sits a group of singers and a group of puppeteers and players of musical instruments, and they do not leave any one of those domes without setting up a group (of performers) there. The people give up work during this period, and they do no work except going around and watching the entertainment” [“Wifayat al A’yan“ 4/117]

It was more or like a concert now a days because even in musical concerts people enjoy music, singers and puppeteers.

then he said

Two days before the Mawlid, he would send a huge number of camels, cattle, and sheep to the field, accompanied with drums, singers, and musicians. [“Wifayat al A’yan“ 4/117-118]

Music and drums (Tabal) are prohibited in Islam, but still Malik Mazaffar supported these acts.

Quiz Time (24) Which Sahabi was threatened by his Mother, won't eat and drink till she dies, if he doesn’t forsake Islam & Ayat revealed?

Quiz Time (24) Which Sahabi was threatened by his Mother, won't eat and drink till she dies, if he doesn’t forsake Islam & Ayat revealed?

Ans: Sa'ad Ibn Abi Waqqaas(R.a)

In this town lives a young man who has not yet seen twenty summers. He is short, well built, and has a very heavy crop of hair. People compare him to a young lion. He comes from a rich and noble family. He is very attached to his parents and is particularly fond of his mother. His name is Sa'ad Ibn Abi Waqqaas .

One morning at about this time in his life, Abu Bakr came up and spoke softly to him. He explained that Muhammad Ibn 'Abdullah had received Revelation and was sent with the religion of guidance and truth. Abu Bakr then took him to Prophet Muhammad in one of the valleys of Makkah. Sa'ad was excited and overwhelmed, and responded readily to the invitation to the truth and the religion of One God. The Prophet was also greatly pleased when Sa'ad became a Muslim.

“When my mother heard the news of my acceptance of Islam, she flew into a rage. She came up to me and said: “‘O Sa'ad! What is this religion that you have embraced, which has taken you away from the religion of your mother and father? By God, either you forsake your new religion, or I would not eat or drink until I die. Your heart would be broken with grief for me, and remorse would consume you on account of the deed which you have done, and people would censure you forever more.’ “‘Do not do (such a thing), my mother,’ I said, ‘for I would not give up my religion for anything.’”

However, she went on with her threat. For days, she neither ate nor drank and became emaciated and weak. Hour after hour, I went to her asking whether I should bring her some food or something to drink, but she persistently refused, insisting that she would neither eat nor drink until she died or I abandoned my religion. I said to her: “‘Ya Ummah! (O mother) In spite of my strong love for you, my love for Allah and His Messenger is indeed stronger. By Allah, if you had a thousand souls and one soul after another were to depart, I would not abandon my religion for anything.’

When she saw that I was determined she relented unwillingly and ate and drank.”It was concerning Sa'ad‘s relationship with his mother and her attempt to force him to renounce his faith that the words of were revealed in the Quran.

Allah Says (what mean): {And We have enjoined upon man (care) for his parents. His mother carried him, (increasing her) in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the (final) destination. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in (this) world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to me (in repentance). Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.} [Quran 31:14-15]

Quiz time (23): Which prophet of Allah, blamed (falsely) for stealing idols?

Quiz time (23): Which prophet of Allah,

 blamed (falsely) for stealing idols?

Ans:  Prophet Yaqub(pbuh).

Jacob Accused of Taking Idols

Allah the Almighty inspired Jacob to return to the country of his father and people, and He promised to stand by him. Jacob told his family that, and they responded and obeyed him. Jacob did not tell Laban of his plans, however, and left without bidding farewell. Upon leaving, Rachel stole her father's idols.

After Jacob and his people had fled for his country, Laban and his people followed them. When Laban met with Jacob, he blamed him for leaving him without his knowledge. He would have liked to know so that he could have made them leave with celebration and joy, with drums and songs, and so that he could have bidden his daughters and sons farewell. And why have they taken his idols with them?

Jacob had no knowledge of his idols, so he denied that he had taken them from him. Then Laban entered the tents of his daughters and slaves to search, but he found nothing, for Rachel had put the idols in the camel saddle under her. She did not get up, apologizing that she had her menses.

Thus, he could not perceive what they had done. Then they sat on a hill called Galeed and made a covenant there. Jacob would not ill treat Laban's daughters nor marry others. Neither Laban nor Jacob would pass the hill into the other's country. They cooked food and their people ate with them. Each bade the other farewell as they departed, each returning to his own country.  And Allah knows best.

QuizTime(22): Shirt was used as evidence in two incidents in which Prophet's life ?

QuizTime(22): Shirt was used as evidence in two incidents in which Prophet's life ?

Ans: Prophet Yusuf(pbuh).

1) The first incident is where his brothers presented a shirt(As evidence/ proof) smeared with fake blood to their father Yaqub (AS).

Ch 12 Verse 18 "And they brought his shirt stained with false blood" on it, to help prove plot that they all agreed on.

2) The second is when his shirt(used as evidence) was torn from the back by the mistress of the house who was trying to seduce him.

"[Joseph] said, "It was she who sought to seduce me." And a witness from her family testified. "If his shirt is torn from the front, then she has told the truth, and he is of the liars.
"But if his shirt is torn from the back, then she has lied, and he is of the truthful."
Qur'an ch 12 Verse 26-27

Had Yusuf run away from her, and this is what truly happened, and she set in his pursuit, she would have held to his shirt from the back to bring him back to her, thus tearing his shirt from the back.

And the word "Qamīşuhu" "Shirt" mentioned in the Qur'an 6 times.

Qur'an ch 12 Verse 18,25,26,27,28,93. There many people thing wearing Kurta is Islamic dress or Sunnah and wearing shirt against Islam its absolutely baseless, has no evidence.

QuizTime(21): Which Surah of the Qur’an contains orders for the change of Qiblah (direction to face while praying)?

QuizTime(21): Which Surah of the Qur’an contains orders for the change of Qiblah (direction to face while praying)?

Ans: Surah Al-Baqarah Ch 2.

"Then after that Allaah commanded him to face the direction of the Kabah (the Sacred House), in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning): so turn your face in the direction of al-Masjid al-Haraam (at Makkah). And wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction [al-Baqarah 2:144]."

When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came from Makkah to Madeenah, he used to face Bayt al-Maqdis when he prayed, and that remained the case for sixteen or seventeen months, as is proven in the two Saheehs (al-Bukhaari and Muslim), in the hadeeth of al-Baraa ibn Aazib (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father), who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed towards Bayt al-Maqdis for sixteen or seventeen months, and he was hoping that the Qiblah would be towards the House (i.e., the Kabah)

QuizTime (20): The sun has never stopped from setting for any human being except for which prophet?

QuizTime (20): The sun has never stopped from setting for any human being except for which prophet?

Ans: Yusha ibn Nun (Joshua)( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), according to which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “One of the Prophets went out on a campaign… and he approached a town at the time of ‘Asr (late afternoon) prayer, or close to that time. He said to the sun: You are under the command of Allah and I am under the command of Allah. O Allah, halt it for me for a while. So it was halted for him until Allah granted him victory.”

Narrated by al-Bukhari (3124) and Muslim (1747).

In Tareekh Dimashq (History of Damascus), Ibn Ê»Asaakir  said about him, “His full name was Yoosha’ ibn Noon ibn Afraa'eem ibn Yoosuf ibn YaÊ»qoob ibn Is-haaq ibn Ibraaheem, may Allaah exalt their mention. He was the servant boy of Moosa (Moses) ibn Ê»Imraan (A.S) and his successor over his nation after him. He accompanied Moosa to the land of KanÊ»aan in Al-Balqaa’ near Damascus.”

Yusha ibn Nun led the Children of Isra'il against the Jababirah (the inhabitants of Jerusalem), who were a large giant-like people. The fighting was furious and the sun was about to set. Yusha ibn Nun knew that he could not defeat these people except if the day was longer as, if night came, the Jababirah would be able to regroup. So Yusha pointed to the sun and said, "You are receiving orders and I am receiving orders from Allah, O Allah stop the sun!" Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, caused the sun to stop for Yusha ibn Nun until he defeated the people of Jerusalem.

1)     Did sun hold Back Until Adhan Was Called?

To conclude, we have not come across any basis for the story about the sun being held back from rising until Bilaal (may Allah be pleased with him) called the adhan, in any saheeh or da‘eef (weak) report, or even in any fabricated (mawdoo‘) hadeeth that is known.

2)     The sun was not ordered to rise again for the sake of ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib.

Its unauthentic Hadith there is no proof that sun raise back for the sake of Ali(r.a).
