QuizTime(166) What is the name of the land where all the creation of Allah will be gathered

QuizTime(166) What is the name of the land where all the creation of Allah will be gathered  ?

Ans: Land of “Al-Hashr” at “Al-Shaam”

Shaykh Sa’d al-Humayd.

It is proven in the saheeh hadeeth that the gathering will be in al-Shaam (Greater Syria, including Palestine). It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Al-Shaam is the land of the gathering and the resurrection.” (Narrated by Ahmad).

No human being shall be spared the assembly in the land of Al-Hashr (gathering) on the Day of Resurrection; all the believers, the disbelievers, the pious, the sinners, and even the Prophets of Allaah, who are the most honorable among mankind, shall be assembled in the land of gathering. Allaah, The Exalted, says (what means): {And (warn of) the Day when We will remove the mountains and you will see the earth prominent, and We will gather them and not leave behind from them anyone.} [Quran 18:47]

Ibn Katheer  wrote:

“Allaah, The Exalted, says (what means): {That is a Day for which the people will be collected, and that is a Day (which will be) witnessed.} [Quran 11:103] This means that all of mankind will be gathered; Allaah will gather them all, the first of them and the last of them, and He will not leave anyone behind: {...and We will gather them and not leave behind from them anyone.} [Quran 18:47]

{That is a Day (which will be) witnessed}; this may mean that all of the creation will be gathered in this great day that will be witnessed by all the angels. All the Messengers of Allaah will assemble, and all of the creation shall be gathered: mankind, jinn, birds, beasts, and animals will stand before Allaah in one row. He will judge between His creatures for all of their deeds, and He will not treat any of His creatures with injustice. Allaah, The Exalted, says (what means): {Indeed, Allaah does not do injustice, (even) as much as an atom's weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward.} [Quran 4:40] Allaah wrongs not even with the weight of a speck of dust, but if there is any good, He doubles it.” [Tafseer Ibn Katheer]

QuizTime (165) why (with what message) did Jibraeel (pbuh) came to Prophet (Saw) while He was washing/ Taking Bath?

Ans: To Punish the “Banu Quriazah” for their treachery/ Betrayal.

Archangel Gabriel (Peace be upon him) on the very day the Messenger of Allâh (Peace be upon him) came back to Madinah after the previous battle(Gazwa-e-Khandaq), and while he was washing in Umm Salama’s house, visited him asking that he should unsheathe his sword and head for the habitation of the seditious Banu Quraiza and fight them. Gabriel noted that he with a procession of angels would go ahead to shake their forts and cast fear in their hearts. The Messenger of Allâh (Peace be upon him) , immediately summoned the prayer caller and ordered him to announce fresh hostilities against Banu Quraiza, institued Ibn Umm Maktum as a ruler of Madinah, and entrusted the banner of war to ‘Ali bin Abi Talib who marched towards the appointed target and came close enough to hear the Jews abusing the Messenger of Allâh (Peace be upon him) , who on his part set out at the head of three thousand infantry men and thirty horsemen of Ansar (Helpers) and Muhajireen (Emigrants). On their way to encounter the enemy, the afternoon prayer was due. Some Muslims refused to observe it until they had defeated the enemy, while others offered it in its proper time, as usual.

[Ar Raheeq Al Makhtum: The Sealed Nectar:  page 160]

Quote End.

Three Jewish leaders from the tribe of Wa'il, and various other Jewish groups and leaders united and pressured Banu Qurayza to betray their agreement to Muhammad  & during the Battle of the Trench, when the Muslims were surrounded by a large hostile force, the Banu Qurayza joined the enemies of the Muslims and threatened the Muslims from within the town itself.

One of the contemporary writers said, “If those who criticize the ruling of Sa'd on Banu Quraythah were to study the current laws efficiently and applied them on Banu Quraythah, they would conclude that the laws of the 20th century are no different than the ruling of Sa'd Ibn Mu'aath." The writer clarified that the Jews committed three crimes, which are:

1- Lifting arms along with the enemy invader against the ruler of Madeenah.

2- Conspiring with the enemy against the Muslims.

3- Facilitating the entrance of the enemy to the country.

Then the writer said, ''Contemporary criminal laws apply the death punishment to each of the above three crimes.''

QuizTime(164) Why did Abrahah wanted to destroying the House of Allah -- the Ka'bah ?

QuizTime(164)  Why did Abrahah wanted to destroying the House of Allah -- the Ka'bah ?

Ans:   A temple build by him in Yemen was defecated & caught in it fire by an Arabs so, He wanted to take revenge.

During the lifetime of ‘Abdul-Muttalib, Yemen was under the rule of the King of Abyssinia. In those days Abrahah Ashram was the governor of Yemen on behalf of the king. He built a temple in Yemen and persuaded the Arabs to perform Hajj at the temple of Yemen instead of the Ka'bah. However, he was not successful in his endeavor. In order to put him to disgrace, an Arab defecated in the temple to desecrate it. Muqatil bin Sulayman mentioned that a group of young men from the Quraysh entered the church and started a fire in it on an extremely windy day. So the church caught on fire and collapsed to the ground. Abrahah grew so furious that he invaded Makkah with the intention of destroying the House of Allah -- the Ka'bah. He used elephants in his attack, so the people of Makkah called them the People of the Elephant and the year came to be known as the Year of the Elephant.

When the Quraysh came to know of the attack, they were filled with fear, as they were no match for such a large and strong army. They jointly requested their chief, ‘Abdul-Muttalib to go to Abrahah and explore a way to avert the battle. When ‘Abdul-Muttalib presented himself to Abrahah, he was greatly impressed and held him in high esteem. ‘Abdul-Muttalib stated that Abrahah's army had captured 200 camels, which belonged to him. Thereupon Abrahah remarked that he took him to be a wise person but he obviously was mistaken. He (‘Abdul-Muttalib) was aware that Abrahah had come with the sole purpose of demolishing the House of Allah — the Ka'bah. However, intentionally ignoring the topic, he only spoke of his camels instead of saving the Ka'bah.

‘Abdul-Muttalib said: " I am merely the owner of the camels, but this House also has an Owner and He will save it."

The answer enraged Abrahah and he burst out in anger saying he would see if the Lord of the House would save it. His army was destroyed and left like an empty field from which all the corn has been eaten up, and only the straw with stalks and stubble was left.

QuizTime (163) who were the people blessed with gardens & later Allah destroyed them with flood?

QuizTime (163) who were the people blessed with gardens & later Allah destroyed them with flood?

Ans:  Saba:  “People of Saba”

There is chapter in the Qur’an name Surah Saba.

Allah Says (what means): {There was for [the tribe of] Saba’ in their dwelling place a sign: two [fields of] gardens on the right and on the left. [They were told]: 'Eat from the provisions of your Lord and be grateful to Him. A good land [you have], and a forgiving Lord.' But they turned away [refusing], so We sent upon them the flood of the dam [i.e. the overwhelming flood that caused a break in their dam], and We replaced their two [fields of] gardens with gardens of bitter fruit, tamarisks and something of sparse lote trees. [By] that We repaid them because they disbelieved. And do We [thus] repay except the ungrateful? And We placed between them and the cities which We had blessed [In the lands of what is now southern Syria and Palestine] [many] visible cities. And We determined between them the [distances of] journey [i.e., We placed the intermediate settlements at calculated distances for the convenience of travellers.], [saying]: 'Travel between them by night or by day in safety.' But [insolently] they said: 'Our Lord! Lengthen the distance between our journeys,' and wronged themselves, so We made them narrations [i.e., their story became a tale related amongst people to take an example from] and dispersed them in total dispersion. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful. And Satan had already confirmed through them [i.e. the people of Saba’] his assumption [i.e., that mankind could readily be misled by him.], so they followed him, except for a party of believers. And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian.} [Quran 34: 15-21]

The people of Saba’ were the kings of Yemen and Balqees, the wife of Sulayman, may Allaah exalt his mention, was from them. The people of Saba’ lived happy and joyful lives that were full of blessings; their sustenance was abundant and their trees and plants very fruitful. Allah sent messengers to them, instructing them to eat from what He had provided for them and show gratitude towards Him, as well as to worship Him alone and believe in His oneness. They adhered to these instructions for a while, but then shunned His commandments, and were thus punished by a flood on their land.

Ibn ‘Abbas, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that a man came to the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallamand asked him whether Saba’ was a name of a man, a woman or a land; the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam answered by saying: “It is the name of a man who had ten children from his progeny, all of whom were Arab; six of them later lived in Yemen and four in Sham (modern Syria and including some other surrunding nations). The ones in Yemen were later known as the tribes of Mathhij, Kindah, Al-Azd, Al-Asha’iriyyoon, Anmar and Himyar. As for the ones who lived in Sham, they were to be the known tribes of Lakhm, Jutham, ‘Aamilah and Ghassan.”[Ahmad]

Imam Ibn Katheer, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: “The meaning of the saying of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam: “…who had ten children from his progeny, all of whom were Arab” is that these ten descended from his offspring, to whom all the Arab tribes originate. It does not mean that they were his direct children, because between him and some of them were two or three generations, and more in some cases. After the flood of the dam hit their area, some remained in their land, while others left to other locations.”

QuizTime (162): Who were they and how many Sahabas, boycotted by Muslim community for 50 days & nights?

QuizTime (162): Who were they and how many Sahabas, boycotted by Muslim community for 50 days & nights?

Ans: 1) Ka`b bin Malik 2) Murarah bin Ar-Rabi` Al-`Amiri and 3)  Hilal bin Umayyah Al-Waqifi.'

[May Allah please with them all]

Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin Ka`b bin Malik, who used to guide Ka`b after he became blind, said that he heard Ka`b bin Malik narrate his story when he did not join the battle of Tabuk with the Messenger of Allah.

….Then I came to Him(Pbuh), and when I greeted him, he gave the smile of an angry person, and then said: “Come here.” So I came walking and sat before him. He said to me: “What detained you from joining us. Had you not purchased a mount?” I answered, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, had I sat before any person from among the inhabitants of this world other than you, I would have avoided his anger with a false excuse, given that, by Allah, I have been gifted with the power of speaking fluently and eloquently. By Allah, I know very well that if today I tell you a lie to seek your pleasure, Allah will surely make you angry with me in the near future, but if I tell you the truth, even though you will be angry with me because of it, I will hope for the forgiveness of Allah. Really, by Allah, there was no excuse for me. By Allah, I had never been stronger or wealthier than I was when I remained behind.” Then the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)  said: “As regards this man, he has indeed told the truth. So get up till Allah decides your case.”

…..I asked them, “Is there anybody else who has received the same fate as I?” They replied, “Yes, there are two men who said the same as you, and both of them were given the same order that was given to you.” I asked, “Who are they?” They replied, “Muraarah bin Ar-Rabee‘ Al-‘Amri and Hilaal bin Umayyah Al-Waaqifi.”

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh)  forbade all the Muslims to talk to us - the three abovementioned persons - out of all those who had remained behind in that battle. So we kept away from the people, and they changed their attitude towards us till the very land [where I lived] appeared strange to me as if I did not know it.

“….Then I remained in that state for ten more nights till the period of fifty nights had passed, starting from the time when the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)  prohibited the people from talking to us.I offered the Fajr prayer on the fiftieth morning on the roof of one of our houses, and I was sitting in the state which Allah described [in the Quran]: My soul confined me and even the earth seemed narrow to me in spite of all its vastness. Then I heard the voice of one who had ascended the mountain of Sala‘ calling at the top of his voice, “O Ka‘b bin Maalik, Rejoice with the glad tidings!” I fell down in prostration before Allah The Almighty, realizing that relief had come. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) announced the acceptance of our repentance by Allah The Almighty just after he had offered the Fajr prayer. The people then went out to congratulate us.”

“And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allah is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.[Al-Qur’an ch 9 Verse 118]

Allah sent His relief from the distress and grief that struck these three men, because Muslims ignored them for fifty days and nights.

QuizTime(161) Who was the person (pre-Islamic era) claimed He is the only person in Makkah is upon the religion of Ibrahim ?

Ans: “Zayd Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Nufail” May Allah have mercy on him

A Monotheist at the time of Jahiliyyah.

He was Zaid ibn Amr May Allah have mercy on him

a) Narrated ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه): The Prophet () met Zayd Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Nufail in the bottom of (the valley of) Baldah before any Wahy (Divine Inspiration) came to the Prophet (). A meal was presented to the Prophet () but he refused to eat from it. (Then it was presented to Zayd) who said, “I do not eat anything which you slaughter in the name of your stone idols. I eat none but those things on which Allah’s Name has been mentioned at the time of slaughtering.” Zayd Ibn ‘Amr used to criticise the way Quraish used to slaughter their animals, he used to say, “Allah has created the sheep and He has sent the water for it from the sky, and He has grown the grass for it from the earth; yet you slaughter it in other than the Name of Allah.” He used to say so, for he rejected that practice and considered it as something abominable. [Al-Bukhari: 3826].

b) Narrated Asma bint Abi Bakr (رضي الله عنها): I saw Zayd Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Nufail standing with his back against the Ka’bah saying, “O people of Quraish! By Allah, none amongst you is on the Religion of Ibrahim (عليه السلام) except me.” He used to preserve the lives of little girls: If somebody wanted to kill his daughter he would say to him, “Do not kill her for I will feed her on your behalf.” So he would take her, and when she grew up nicely, he would say to her father, “Now if you want her, I will give her to you, and if you wish, I will feed her on your behalf.” [Al-Bukhari: 3828].

c) When Zaid ibn Amr went to Jews and Christians to inquire about true religion, He was not satisfied and prayed to Allah by saying “O Allah! I make You my Witness that I am on the religion of Abraham.” [Sahih al-Bukhari 3827]

d) Prophet peace be upon him said: He will come on the day of judgement like one Ummah. [al Mustadrak al Hakim no. 4956, Sh Zubair Ali Zai said: The chain is Hasan and authenticated by al Hakim on the sharait of Muslim and ad-Dahabee agreed with him in at-Talkhees, see his tahqiq of Fadaail as-Sahaba page 76]

Hafidh Sher Muhammad (student of Shaykh Zubair Ali Zai) said “Saeed bin Zaid`s RadhiAllahanho father Zaid bin Amr bin Nufayl was on Tauheed and on Deen e Ibraheem , He died before any Revelation came to the Prophet (). [Fadail as-Sahaba page 75]

QuizTime (160) who was the first Muslim on the face of the earth to enter Makkah reciting the Labbayk Allahumma labbayk...?

Ans: Thumamah Ibn Uthal Al-Hanafi (r.a)

In the sixth year after the Hijrah, the Prophet (pbuh) decided to expand the scope of his mission. He sent eight letters to rulers in the Arabian Peninsula and surrounding areas inviting them to Islam. One of these rulers was Thumamah Ibn Uthal.

Thumamah met and killed a group of the Prophet's (pbuh) Companions. The Prophet (pbuh) thereupon declared him a wanted man who could lawfully be killed on sight.

Groups of Muslims were patrolling the districts of Al-Madeenah and outlying areas on the lookout for any strangers or anyone intent on causing trouble. One of these groups came upon Thumamah and apprehended him, but they did not know who he was. They took him to Al-Madeenah and tied him to one of the columns in the mosque. They waited for the Prophet [pbuh) himself to question him and decide what should be done.

When the Prophet (Pbuh) was about to enter the mosque, he (pbuh)  saw Thumamah and asked his Companions: "Do you know whom you have taken?"

"No, Messenger of Allah," they replied.

"This is Thumamah Ibn Uthal Al-Hanafi," he (pbuh) said. "You have done well in capturing him." The Prophet (pbuh) then returned home to his (pbuh)  family and said: "Get what food you can and send it to Thumamah Ibn Uthal." He (pbuh)  then ordered his she-camel to be milked for him. All this was done before he met Thumamah or spoke to him.

The Prophet (pbuh) then approached Thumamah hoping to encourage him to become a Muslim. "What do you have to say for yourself?" he (pbuh)  asked.

"If you want to kill in reprisal," Thumamah replied, "you can have someone of noble blood to kill. If, out of your bounty, you want to forgive, I shall be grateful. If you want money in compensation, I shall give you whatever amount you ask."

The Prophet (pbuh) then left him for two days, but still personally sent him food and drink and milk from his she-camel. The Prophet (pbuh) went back to him and asked: "What do you have to say for yourself?" Thumamah repeated what he had said the day before.

The Prophet (pbuh) then left and came back to him the following day. "What do you have to say for yourself?" he asked again and Thumamah repeated what he had said once more. Then the Prophet (pbuh) turned to his Companions and said: "Set him free."

Thumamah left the mosque of the Prophet (pbuh) and rode until he came to a palm grove on the outskirts of Al-Madeenah near Al-Baqee' (a place of luxuriant vegetation which later became a cemetery for many of the Prophet's (pbuh) Companions). He watered his camel and washed himself well. Then he turned back and made his way to the Prophet's (Pbuh)  mosque. There, he stood before a congregation of Muslims and said: "I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger."

Thumamah (r.a) left to fulfill his intention. When he reached the valley of Makkah he began shouting in a loud, resonant voice: "Labbayk Allahumma labbayk. Labbayka la shareeka laka labbayk. Innal hamda wa-n ni'mata laka wa-l mulk La shareeka lak.”
(Here I am at Your command O Lord, Here I am. Here I am. No partners have You. Here I am. Praise, bounty and Dominion belong to You. No partner have You.)"
