ATHEIST : “WHY MUSLIMS SACRIFICE ANIMALS ON
EID & ANY SCIENTIFIC REASON?”
By Mohammed Asif Ali :
Firstly:
Islam base on the Qur’an and Sahi Hadith,
There are many scientific facts mentioned in the Qur’an 1400 year ago, which science
is discovered today, Qur’an is the final revelation of God sent to the Whole
Mankind it contain more the 6000 verses, We called it “Ayat”
means “Signs” out which more the thousand speak about the Science,
Qur’an is not the book of “S-c-i-e-n-c-e” it’s a book of “S-i-g-n-s” Ayat.
There are many Scientific facts mentioned in the Qur’an 1400
ago which science came to know today,
for example, in the field of Astronomy, Zoology, Botany, Geology, Oceanology, Embryology, Medicine,
And More... For the more detail download

Secondly:
DEFINITION OF
“SCIENCE AND SCIENTIFIC”
“The intellectual and practical activity
encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical
and natural world through observation and experiment”
“based on or characterized by the methods and
principles of science”
Science all about the Study of
activity, behavior, action of this world and universal( included the all living
and Non Living) to reach its ultimate cause or result.
There are two types of Science
Analysis 1) Theoretical 2) Factual
Theoretical : Means Scientific
theory's which normally base on assumption, which cannot be acceptable as
truth, if these Scientific theory's back up by or with the Scientific facts and logic,
established facts then it will be acceptable, if its proved .
Factual: Means Scientific Facts
which prove base on established proof and evidence, which can’t be deny or
inevitable to reject the phenomena . Scientific Theories can be wrong, it can
take U turn in future i.e Earth Center
of the Universe earlier scientist believes but it proven wrong later in future.
But established Scientific Facts cannot be proven wrong.
Thirdly:
WHY
DO WE MUSLIMS SCARIFIES ANIMALS ON EID-UL-ADHA?
During the Hajj, Muslims remember
and commemorate the trials and triumphs of the Prophet Abraham. The Qur'an
describes Abraham as follows:
"Surely Abraham was an
example, obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the
polytheists. He was grateful for Our bounties. We chose him and guided him unto
a right path. We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most
surely be among the righteous."
[Al-Qur'an Ch 16 Verse 120-121]
One of Abraham's main trials was
to face the command of Allah to kill his only son. Upon hearing this command,
he prepared to submit to Allah's will. When he was all prepared to do it, Allah
revealed to him that his "sacrifice" had already been fulfilled. He
had shown that his love for his Lord superceded all others, that he would lay
down his own life or the lives of those dear to him in order to submit to God.
During the celebration of Eid al-Adha, Muslims commemorate and remember
Abraham's trials, by themselves slaughtering an animal such as a sheep, camel,
or goat.
And This life test for the
hereafter:
“We have created the life and
death to test you, who of you good in deeds”
[Al-Qur’an ch 67 Verse 2]
This is one of the rituals of
Islam prescribed in the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace
and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and according to the consensus of the
Muslims.
Allah says In the Qur’an:
1 – Allaah says (interpretation
of the meaning):
“Therefore turn in prayer to your
Lord and sacrifice (to Him only)”
[Al-Qur’an ch 108 Verse 2]
2 – Allaah says (interpretation
of the meaning):
“Say (O Muhammad): Verily, my
Salaah (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allaah, the Lord
of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists).
He has no partner. And of this I
have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims”
[Al-Qur’an ch 6 Verse 162]
All we made this sacrifices to seek pleasure of
Allah, So that we rewarded on the day of
Judgment and enter into Jannah and Allah
don’t require any food or water for
Himself.
“It is not their meat nor their
blood, that reaches Allah: it is your piety that reaches Him”
[Al-Qur’an ch 22 Verse 36]
“He it is
that feedeth but is not fed."
[Al-Qur’an ch
6 Verse 14]
In Brief:
“We do because of Commandment of God and His
last, final Messenger Mohammed(pbuh)”
Allah says in the Qur’an
“Obey Allah and Obey his
Messenger”
[Al-Qur’an ch 3 Verse 32 &
132]
“We heard, we Obey”
[Al-Qur’an ch 24 Verse 51]
Finally:
SACRIFICING ANIMALS ON EID ANY SCIENTIFIC REASON:
As I mentioned earlier that Science as definition means
“Study on behavior or action and its final out come” and the knowledge of
Science is limited, its still developing, Sciences don’t have the 100%
knowledge about the whole world and universe and Science don’t have all answers
to all things, its still developing only.
So the Action of our Sacrifices
what we made for Allah, the science have the half knowledge only, the science
only see that “We are killing or Sacrificing the Animal and the Method of slaughtering”
For the detail: on Slaughtering
the Animal Method of Islam as per the
Science:
But Science don’t know about “our
actions or deeds (here in this world) results that we going to be rewarded or
punished in Hereafter, Same on this issue (Sacrificing Animals )don’t have any scientific fact to prove it wrong about the
earning Reward on Good deeds , Hereafter, Judgment Day. But now it can be
proven by logic and Science, if any persons analysis being
Unbiased He will come to a conclusion that God Exist.
Proving the Existence of God to
Atheists.
For example :
There are more than a thousand
verses in the Glorious Qur’an, containing scientific facts (refer the book
"Qur’an and Modern Science-Compatible or Incompatible?" the link has
been give above earlier in the note ). Which I mentioned earlier, many facts
mentioned in the Qur’an have been discovered in the last few centuries. But
science has not advanced to a level where it can confirm every statement of the
Qur’an.
Suppose 80% of all that is
mentioned in the Qur’an has been proved 100% correct. About the remaining 20%,
science makes no categorical statement, since it has not advanced to a level,
where it can either prove or disprove these statements. With the limited
knowledge that we have, we cannot say for sure whether even a single percentage
or a single verse of the Qur’an from this 20% portion is wrong. Thus when 80%
of the Qur’an is 100% correct and the remaining 20% is not disproved, logic
says that even the 20% portion is correct. The existence of the hereafter,
earning rewards on sacrificing animal which is mentioned in the Qur’an, falls
in the 20% ambiguous portion which my logic says is correct and.
Same thing on We Muslims getting Reward on our every good deeds( e.i
Sacrificing animal) the out come result
and a negative rewarded or
punishment on our bad deeds falls in the ambiguous portion. Now Science don’t have answer whether we are
getting reward or not, science has not developed to that level to tell us
authentically its still developing, might be after 50 years, 100 years, 200,
or 1000 years later In shaa Allah Science will come to know about the many
things which don’t know now like about the “Soul, Hell, Heaven, hereafter,
earning Reward (Neki)etc..” In Shaa Allah.
As We Mentioned Science means
Study of a behavior or action and its out comes, so that the “outcome” of
“Slaughtering of Animal “ action as
Earning Reward on the day of Judgment Unknown to the Science Now. But using
Science facts along with logic we can prove scientifically existence of God and
Hereafter.
Conclusion:
We Sacrifices Animals on Eid-ul-Adha to seek the pleasure
of Allah, and to get rewarded hereafter and blessing in the World. We Muslims
Believe 100% that We will be rewarded on
the day of Judgment, those who follow the commandments of God, because this
life test for the Hereafter. And The knowledge of Science is limited, it don’t
have any proof to prove whether earning reward( Neki) on slaughtering an Animal
is true or not but logically We can prove existence of Hereafter, judgment day,
out come of our action which we have had done here in this world.
Allah knows the best.
