QuizTime (165) why (with what message) did Jibraeel (pbuh) came to Prophet (Saw) while He was washing/ Taking Bath?

Ans: To Punish the “Banu Quriazah” for their treachery/ Betrayal.

Archangel Gabriel (Peace be upon him) on the very day the Messenger of Allâh (Peace be upon him) came back to Madinah after the previous battle(Gazwa-e-Khandaq), and while he was washing in Umm Salama’s house, visited him asking that he should unsheathe his sword and head for the habitation of the seditious Banu Quraiza and fight them. Gabriel noted that he with a procession of angels would go ahead to shake their forts and cast fear in their hearts. The Messenger of Allâh (Peace be upon him) , immediately summoned the prayer caller and ordered him to announce fresh hostilities against Banu Quraiza, institued Ibn Umm Maktum as a ruler of Madinah, and entrusted the banner of war to ‘Ali bin Abi Talib who marched towards the appointed target and came close enough to hear the Jews abusing the Messenger of Allâh (Peace be upon him) , who on his part set out at the head of three thousand infantry men and thirty horsemen of Ansar (Helpers) and Muhajireen (Emigrants). On their way to encounter the enemy, the afternoon prayer was due. Some Muslims refused to observe it until they had defeated the enemy, while others offered it in its proper time, as usual.

[Ar Raheeq Al Makhtum: The Sealed Nectar:  page 160]

Quote End.

Three Jewish leaders from the tribe of Wa'il, and various other Jewish groups and leaders united and pressured Banu Qurayza to betray their agreement to Muhammad  & during the Battle of the Trench, when the Muslims were surrounded by a large hostile force, the Banu Qurayza joined the enemies of the Muslims and threatened the Muslims from within the town itself.

One of the contemporary writers said, “If those who criticize the ruling of Sa'd on Banu Quraythah were to study the current laws efficiently and applied them on Banu Quraythah, they would conclude that the laws of the 20th century are no different than the ruling of Sa'd Ibn Mu'aath." The writer clarified that the Jews committed three crimes, which are:

1- Lifting arms along with the enemy invader against the ruler of Madeenah.

2- Conspiring with the enemy against the Muslims.

3- Facilitating the entrance of the enemy to the country.

Then the writer said, ''Contemporary criminal laws apply the death punishment to each of the above three crimes.''

QuizTime(164) Why did Abrahah wanted to destroying the House of Allah -- the Ka'bah ?

QuizTime(164)  Why did Abrahah wanted to destroying the House of Allah -- the Ka'bah ?

Ans:   A temple build by him in Yemen was defecated & caught in it fire by an Arabs so, He wanted to take revenge.

During the lifetime of ‘Abdul-Muttalib, Yemen was under the rule of the King of Abyssinia. In those days Abrahah Ashram was the governor of Yemen on behalf of the king. He built a temple in Yemen and persuaded the Arabs to perform Hajj at the temple of Yemen instead of the Ka'bah. However, he was not successful in his endeavor. In order to put him to disgrace, an Arab defecated in the temple to desecrate it. Muqatil bin Sulayman mentioned that a group of young men from the Quraysh entered the church and started a fire in it on an extremely windy day. So the church caught on fire and collapsed to the ground. Abrahah grew so furious that he invaded Makkah with the intention of destroying the House of Allah -- the Ka'bah. He used elephants in his attack, so the people of Makkah called them the People of the Elephant and the year came to be known as the Year of the Elephant.

When the Quraysh came to know of the attack, they were filled with fear, as they were no match for such a large and strong army. They jointly requested their chief, ‘Abdul-Muttalib to go to Abrahah and explore a way to avert the battle. When ‘Abdul-Muttalib presented himself to Abrahah, he was greatly impressed and held him in high esteem. ‘Abdul-Muttalib stated that Abrahah's army had captured 200 camels, which belonged to him. Thereupon Abrahah remarked that he took him to be a wise person but he obviously was mistaken. He (‘Abdul-Muttalib) was aware that Abrahah had come with the sole purpose of demolishing the House of Allah — the Ka'bah. However, intentionally ignoring the topic, he only spoke of his camels instead of saving the Ka'bah.

‘Abdul-Muttalib said: " I am merely the owner of the camels, but this House also has an Owner and He will save it."

The answer enraged Abrahah and he burst out in anger saying he would see if the Lord of the House would save it. His army was destroyed and left like an empty field from which all the corn has been eaten up, and only the straw with stalks and stubble was left.

QuizTime (163) who were the people blessed with gardens & later Allah destroyed them with flood?

QuizTime (163) who were the people blessed with gardens & later Allah destroyed them with flood?

Ans:  Saba:  “People of Saba”

There is chapter in the Qur’an name Surah Saba.

Allah Says (what means): {There was for [the tribe of] Saba’ in their dwelling place a sign: two [fields of] gardens on the right and on the left. [They were told]: 'Eat from the provisions of your Lord and be grateful to Him. A good land [you have], and a forgiving Lord.' But they turned away [refusing], so We sent upon them the flood of the dam [i.e. the overwhelming flood that caused a break in their dam], and We replaced their two [fields of] gardens with gardens of bitter fruit, tamarisks and something of sparse lote trees. [By] that We repaid them because they disbelieved. And do We [thus] repay except the ungrateful? And We placed between them and the cities which We had blessed [In the lands of what is now southern Syria and Palestine] [many] visible cities. And We determined between them the [distances of] journey [i.e., We placed the intermediate settlements at calculated distances for the convenience of travellers.], [saying]: 'Travel between them by night or by day in safety.' But [insolently] they said: 'Our Lord! Lengthen the distance between our journeys,' and wronged themselves, so We made them narrations [i.e., their story became a tale related amongst people to take an example from] and dispersed them in total dispersion. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful. And Satan had already confirmed through them [i.e. the people of Saba’] his assumption [i.e., that mankind could readily be misled by him.], so they followed him, except for a party of believers. And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian.} [Quran 34: 15-21]

The people of Saba’ were the kings of Yemen and Balqees, the wife of Sulayman, may Allaah exalt his mention, was from them. The people of Saba’ lived happy and joyful lives that were full of blessings; their sustenance was abundant and their trees and plants very fruitful. Allah sent messengers to them, instructing them to eat from what He had provided for them and show gratitude towards Him, as well as to worship Him alone and believe in His oneness. They adhered to these instructions for a while, but then shunned His commandments, and were thus punished by a flood on their land.

Ibn ‘Abbas, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that a man came to the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallamand asked him whether Saba’ was a name of a man, a woman or a land; the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam answered by saying: “It is the name of a man who had ten children from his progeny, all of whom were Arab; six of them later lived in Yemen and four in Sham (modern Syria and including some other surrunding nations). The ones in Yemen were later known as the tribes of Mathhij, Kindah, Al-Azd, Al-Asha’iriyyoon, Anmar and Himyar. As for the ones who lived in Sham, they were to be the known tribes of Lakhm, Jutham, ‘Aamilah and Ghassan.”[Ahmad]

Imam Ibn Katheer, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: “The meaning of the saying of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam: “…who had ten children from his progeny, all of whom were Arab” is that these ten descended from his offspring, to whom all the Arab tribes originate. It does not mean that they were his direct children, because between him and some of them were two or three generations, and more in some cases. After the flood of the dam hit their area, some remained in their land, while others left to other locations.”

QuizTime (162): Who were they and how many Sahabas, boycotted by Muslim community for 50 days & nights?

QuizTime (162): Who were they and how many Sahabas, boycotted by Muslim community for 50 days & nights?

Ans: 1) Ka`b bin Malik 2) Murarah bin Ar-Rabi` Al-`Amiri and 3)  Hilal bin Umayyah Al-Waqifi.'

[May Allah please with them all]

Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin Ka`b bin Malik, who used to guide Ka`b after he became blind, said that he heard Ka`b bin Malik narrate his story when he did not join the battle of Tabuk with the Messenger of Allah.

….Then I came to Him(Pbuh), and when I greeted him, he gave the smile of an angry person, and then said: “Come here.” So I came walking and sat before him. He said to me: “What detained you from joining us. Had you not purchased a mount?” I answered, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, had I sat before any person from among the inhabitants of this world other than you, I would have avoided his anger with a false excuse, given that, by Allah, I have been gifted with the power of speaking fluently and eloquently. By Allah, I know very well that if today I tell you a lie to seek your pleasure, Allah will surely make you angry with me in the near future, but if I tell you the truth, even though you will be angry with me because of it, I will hope for the forgiveness of Allah. Really, by Allah, there was no excuse for me. By Allah, I had never been stronger or wealthier than I was when I remained behind.” Then the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)  said: “As regards this man, he has indeed told the truth. So get up till Allah decides your case.”

…..I asked them, “Is there anybody else who has received the same fate as I?” They replied, “Yes, there are two men who said the same as you, and both of them were given the same order that was given to you.” I asked, “Who are they?” They replied, “Muraarah bin Ar-Rabee‘ Al-‘Amri and Hilaal bin Umayyah Al-Waaqifi.”

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh)  forbade all the Muslims to talk to us - the three abovementioned persons - out of all those who had remained behind in that battle. So we kept away from the people, and they changed their attitude towards us till the very land [where I lived] appeared strange to me as if I did not know it.

“….Then I remained in that state for ten more nights till the period of fifty nights had passed, starting from the time when the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)  prohibited the people from talking to us.I offered the Fajr prayer on the fiftieth morning on the roof of one of our houses, and I was sitting in the state which Allah described [in the Quran]: My soul confined me and even the earth seemed narrow to me in spite of all its vastness. Then I heard the voice of one who had ascended the mountain of Sala‘ calling at the top of his voice, “O Ka‘b bin Maalik, Rejoice with the glad tidings!” I fell down in prostration before Allah The Almighty, realizing that relief had come. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) announced the acceptance of our repentance by Allah The Almighty just after he had offered the Fajr prayer. The people then went out to congratulate us.”

“And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allah is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.[Al-Qur’an ch 9 Verse 118]

Allah sent His relief from the distress and grief that struck these three men, because Muslims ignored them for fifty days and nights.

QuizTime(161) Who was the person (pre-Islamic era) claimed He is the only person in Makkah is upon the religion of Ibrahim ?

Ans: “Zayd Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Nufail” May Allah have mercy on him

A Monotheist at the time of Jahiliyyah.

He was Zaid ibn Amr May Allah have mercy on him

a) Narrated ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله عنه): The Prophet () met Zayd Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Nufail in the bottom of (the valley of) Baldah before any Wahy (Divine Inspiration) came to the Prophet (). A meal was presented to the Prophet () but he refused to eat from it. (Then it was presented to Zayd) who said, “I do not eat anything which you slaughter in the name of your stone idols. I eat none but those things on which Allah’s Name has been mentioned at the time of slaughtering.” Zayd Ibn ‘Amr used to criticise the way Quraish used to slaughter their animals, he used to say, “Allah has created the sheep and He has sent the water for it from the sky, and He has grown the grass for it from the earth; yet you slaughter it in other than the Name of Allah.” He used to say so, for he rejected that practice and considered it as something abominable. [Al-Bukhari: 3826].

b) Narrated Asma bint Abi Bakr (رضي الله عنها): I saw Zayd Ibn ‘Amr Ibn Nufail standing with his back against the Ka’bah saying, “O people of Quraish! By Allah, none amongst you is on the Religion of Ibrahim (عليه السلام) except me.” He used to preserve the lives of little girls: If somebody wanted to kill his daughter he would say to him, “Do not kill her for I will feed her on your behalf.” So he would take her, and when she grew up nicely, he would say to her father, “Now if you want her, I will give her to you, and if you wish, I will feed her on your behalf.” [Al-Bukhari: 3828].

c) When Zaid ibn Amr went to Jews and Christians to inquire about true religion, He was not satisfied and prayed to Allah by saying “O Allah! I make You my Witness that I am on the religion of Abraham.” [Sahih al-Bukhari 3827]

d) Prophet peace be upon him said: He will come on the day of judgement like one Ummah. [al Mustadrak al Hakim no. 4956, Sh Zubair Ali Zai said: The chain is Hasan and authenticated by al Hakim on the sharait of Muslim and ad-Dahabee agreed with him in at-Talkhees, see his tahqiq of Fadaail as-Sahaba page 76]

Hafidh Sher Muhammad (student of Shaykh Zubair Ali Zai) said “Saeed bin Zaid`s RadhiAllahanho father Zaid bin Amr bin Nufayl was on Tauheed and on Deen e Ibraheem , He died before any Revelation came to the Prophet (). [Fadail as-Sahaba page 75]

QuizTime (160) who was the first Muslim on the face of the earth to enter Makkah reciting the Labbayk Allahumma labbayk...?

Ans: Thumamah Ibn Uthal Al-Hanafi (r.a)

In the sixth year after the Hijrah, the Prophet (pbuh) decided to expand the scope of his mission. He sent eight letters to rulers in the Arabian Peninsula and surrounding areas inviting them to Islam. One of these rulers was Thumamah Ibn Uthal.

Thumamah met and killed a group of the Prophet's (pbuh) Companions. The Prophet (pbuh) thereupon declared him a wanted man who could lawfully be killed on sight.

Groups of Muslims were patrolling the districts of Al-Madeenah and outlying areas on the lookout for any strangers or anyone intent on causing trouble. One of these groups came upon Thumamah and apprehended him, but they did not know who he was. They took him to Al-Madeenah and tied him to one of the columns in the mosque. They waited for the Prophet [pbuh) himself to question him and decide what should be done.

When the Prophet (Pbuh) was about to enter the mosque, he (pbuh)  saw Thumamah and asked his Companions: "Do you know whom you have taken?"

"No, Messenger of Allah," they replied.

"This is Thumamah Ibn Uthal Al-Hanafi," he (pbuh) said. "You have done well in capturing him." The Prophet (pbuh) then returned home to his (pbuh)  family and said: "Get what food you can and send it to Thumamah Ibn Uthal." He (pbuh)  then ordered his she-camel to be milked for him. All this was done before he met Thumamah or spoke to him.

The Prophet (pbuh) then approached Thumamah hoping to encourage him to become a Muslim. "What do you have to say for yourself?" he (pbuh)  asked.

"If you want to kill in reprisal," Thumamah replied, "you can have someone of noble blood to kill. If, out of your bounty, you want to forgive, I shall be grateful. If you want money in compensation, I shall give you whatever amount you ask."

The Prophet (pbuh) then left him for two days, but still personally sent him food and drink and milk from his she-camel. The Prophet (pbuh) went back to him and asked: "What do you have to say for yourself?" Thumamah repeated what he had said the day before.

The Prophet (pbuh) then left and came back to him the following day. "What do you have to say for yourself?" he asked again and Thumamah repeated what he had said once more. Then the Prophet (pbuh) turned to his Companions and said: "Set him free."

Thumamah left the mosque of the Prophet (pbuh) and rode until he came to a palm grove on the outskirts of Al-Madeenah near Al-Baqee' (a place of luxuriant vegetation which later became a cemetery for many of the Prophet's (pbuh) Companions). He watered his camel and washed himself well. Then he turned back and made his way to the Prophet's (Pbuh)  mosque. There, he stood before a congregation of Muslims and said: "I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger."

Thumamah (r.a) left to fulfill his intention. When he reached the valley of Makkah he began shouting in a loud, resonant voice: "Labbayk Allahumma labbayk. Labbayka la shareeka laka labbayk. Innal hamda wa-n ni'mata laka wa-l mulk La shareeka lak.”
(Here I am at Your command O Lord, Here I am. Here I am. No partners have You. Here I am. Praise, bounty and Dominion belong to You. No partner have You.)"

QuizTime (159): Who was the first man to be martyred in Makkah for Islam?

QuizTime (159): Who was the first man to be martyred in Makkah for Islam?

Ans: Yasir (R.a).

Yasir; his wife,Sumayya; & their son, Ammar; (May Allah please with them all ) all three accepted Islam as soon as they heard the Call of the Messenger of Allah Ammar & his family were tormented so consistently that Prophet would urge them to be patient by reminding them that they were destined for Paradise & The Yasir's(r.a) family were the first “whole family” to accept Islam (outside the family of Prophet ).

“Ibn Ishaq stated, "Bann Makhzum used to set Ammar b. Yasir and his father(Yasir r.a) and mother, all of whom had become Muslims, outside at heat of noon, torturing them with the hot ground of Mecca. The Messenger of God (SAAS) would pass by them and say to them, as I have heard, 'Be patient, O family of Yasir; you are destined for paradise."' Al-Bayhaqi related, from al-Hakim, from Ibrahim b. 'Ismat al-Adl, who said that Ai-Sarri b. Khuzayma related to him, quoting Muslim b. Ibrahim, quoting Hisham b. Abu ubayd Allah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said that the Messenger of God (SAAS) passed by 'Ammar and his family while they were being tortured. He said, "Be of good cheer, O family of 'Ammar, O family of Yasir; you are destined for paradise."

His mother(Summaya.R.a), however, they actually did kill, for she refused anything but Islam. Imam Ahmad stated, "Waki related to us, from Sufya, from Mansnr, from Mujahid, who said, 'The first martyr to meet her death early in Islam was Ammar's mother Sumayya. Abu Jahl thrust a spear into her heart. 'This account lacks a complete chain of early authorities.” [Al-Sira al-Nabawiyya Vol 1 page 383]

QuizTime (158): Who was the first Christian Scholar from Makkah to embrace Islam at the time of Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) ?

QuizTime (158): Who was the first Christian Scholar from Makkah to embrace Islam at the time of Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) ?

Ans:  Waraqah ibn Nawfal(R.A)

Complete name:

“Waraqah Ibn Nawfal ibn Asad ibn ‘Abd al-‘Uzza ibn Qusayy al-Qurashi al-Asadi.”(May Allah be please with him)

The paternal cousin of Khadeejah, the wife of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) – was one of the Sahaabah.

Al-Haakim (4211) narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“Do not revile Waraqah, for I saw that he will be in the Garden (Paradise), or will have two gardens.” Al-Haakim classed it as saheeh according to the conditions of the two shaykhs [al-Bukhaari and Muslim]. It was also quoted by al-Albaani in as-Saheehah (405). Ad-Daaraqutni thought it most likely to be mursal, as it says in al-‘Ilal (14/157)

Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who was related to Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid, may Allah be pleased with her, the wife of the Prophet(pbuh). Waraqah was a respected man of his time and a well-known Christian scholar. He was also one of those who used to translate Christian holy texts into Arabic. Khadeejah, may Allah be pleased with her, brought the Prophet(pbuh), to Waraqah after the Prophet(pbuh), received his first revelation in the cave of ‘Hiraa.

The revelation had left the Prophet, (pbuh), shaken and terrified. He had rushed home to his wife, overwhelmed by the experience. Khadeejah, may Allah be pleased with her, calmed him down and took him to Waraqah ibn Nawfal. After the Prophet, (pbuh), related the whole incident to him, Waraqah informed him that it was Jibreel (Gabriel), may Allah exalt his mention, who had come to him, just as he had come to Moosa (Moses), may Allah exalt his mention, before him. Waraqah added that he wished he was young, so that he might live to support the Prophet, (pbuh), through his mission when the Quraysh, his people, cast him out.

According to this view, Waraqah ibn Nawfal was the first man to believe in the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).  There are difference of opinions of Scholars on this, we agree with those scholars, who  said he was Muslim.  Allah knows the best.

QuizTime (157) Who was that Woman came out wailing with stone in Hand to the Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) but did not see Him(pbuh) though in front of her ?

Ans: Umm Jamil bint Harb( Cruse be upon her).

His wife was among the leading women of the Quraysh and she was known as Umm Jamil. Her name was `Arwah bint Harb bin Umayyah and she was the sister of Abu Sufyan. She was supportive of her husband in his disbelief, rejection and obstinacy. Therefore, she will be helping to administer his punishment in the fire of Hell on the Day of Judgment.

(And his wife too, who carries wood) (Who carries wood. In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad.), meaning, she will carry the firewood and throw it upon her husband to increase that which he is in (of torment), and she will be ready and prepared to do so.

Asma Radi Allahu anha bint Abi Bakr said, “When (Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab and perish he)!) was revealed, the one-eyed Umm Jamil bint Harb came out wailing, and she had a stone in her hand. She was saying, He criticizes our father, and his religion is our scorn, and his command is to disobey us.’ The Messenger of Allah was sitting in the Masjid (of the Kabah) and Abu Bakr Radi Allahu anhu was with him. When Abu Bakr Radi Allahu anhu saw her he said, `O Messenger of Allah! She is coming and I fear that she will see you.’ The Messenger of Allah replied, (Verily, she will not see me.) Then he recited some of the Qur’an as a protection for himself. This is as Allah says, (And when you recite the Qur’an, We put between you and those who believe not in the Hereafter, an invisible veil.) (17:45)

So she advanced until she was standing in front of Abu Bakr Abu Bakr Radi Allahu anhu and she did not see the Messenger of Allah . She then said, `O Abu Bakr! Verily, I have been informed that your friend is making defamatory poetry about me.’

Abu Bakr Radi Allahu anhu replied, Nay! By the Lord of this House (the Kabah) he is not defaming you.’ So she turned away saying, `Indeed the Quraysh know that I am the daughter of their leader.”

QuizTime(156): Who was that Sahabiya, disputed with Prophet (saw) regarding her Husband and Allah revealed a Chapter?

Ans: Khuwaylah bint Tha`labah(r.a) & Chapter was revealed is “Surah Al-Mujadilah, Ch 58 verse 1-4.”

Al-Bukhari collected this Hadith without a chain of narration in the Book of Tawhid in his Sahih. An-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, Ibn Abi Hatim and Ibn Jarir also collected this Hadith. In the narration that Ibn Abi Hatim collected, `A'ishah said, "Blessed is He, Whose hearing has encompassed all things. I heard what Khawlah bint Tha`labah said while some of it I could not hear.

She was complaining to Allah's Messenger about her husband. She said, `O Allah's Messenger! He spent my wealth, exhausted my youth and my womb bore abundantly for him. When I became old, unable to bear children, he pronounced the Ziharon me! O Allah! I complain to you.' Soon after, Jibril brought down this Ayah,

(1.Indeed Allah has heard the statement of her that disputes with you concerning her husband.)''

(2. Those among you who make their wives unlawful to them by Zihar they cannot be their mothers. None can be their mothers except those who gave them birth. And verily, they utter an ill word and a lie. And verily, Allah is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.)

(3. And those who make unlawful to them (their wives) by Zihar and wish to free themselves from what they uttered, (the penalty) in that case is the freeing of a slave before they touch each other. That is an admonition to you. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.)

(4. And he who finds not, must fast two successive months before they both touch each other. And he who is unable to do so, should feed sixty of the poor. That is in order that you may have perfect faith in Allah and His Messenger. These are the limits set by Allah. And for disbelievers, there is a painful torment.)[Al-Qur’an ch 58 Verse 1-4]

Ahmad recorded that Khuwaylah bint Tha`labah said, "By Allah! Allah sent down the beginning of Surat Al-Mujadilah in connection with me and `Aws bin As-Samit. He was my husband and had grown old and difficult. One day, he came to me and I argued with him about something and he said, out of anger, `You are like my mother's back to me.' He went out and sat with some of his people. Then he came back and wanted to have sexual intercourse with me.

I said, `No, by the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Khuwaylah! You will not have your way with me after you said what you said, until Allah and His Messenger issue judgment about our case.' He wanted to have his way regardless of my choice and I pushed him away from me; he was an old man.' I next went to one of my neighbors and borrowed a garment from her and went to the Messenger of Allah . I told him what happened and kept complaining to him of the ill treatment I received from `Aws.

QuizTime(155): Who was that Sahabiya used to recite poetry for Prophet (saw) & was Mother of Martyrs?

QuizTime(155): Who was that Sahabiya used to recite poetry for Prophet (saw) & was Mother of Martyrs?

Ans: Al-Khansaa(r.a)

According to the connoisseurs of Arabic poetry, there has never been a woman whose poetry was as replete with knowledge, or who was more knowledgeable  than Al-Khansaa'(r.a). The Prophet(pbuh), used to ask her to recite her poetry, which he admired, in front of him.  She composed a great deal of poetry, and the most eloquent of her poetry were odes in lamentation of her two brothers, Sakhr and Mu‘awiyah, who were killed during the pre-Islamic era.

She was recognized for her deep faith in Allah The Almighty and His Messenger, (pbuh), and her zeal for Jihad (struggle) in the cause of supporting the truth. She attended the Battle of Qadisiyyah in 16 AH, in the company of her four sons. During the first part of the night, she said to them,

"O my sons! You have embraced Islam willingly and emigrated freely. By Allah, other than Whom there is none worthy of worship, you are the sons of one man and one woman. I have never betrayed your father nor have I disgraced your maternal uncle, nor have I dishonored your noble lineage, nor have I tampered with your parentage. You indeed know the abundant reward prepared by Allah The Almighty for the Muslims. It should be known to you that the everlasting abode is better than the perishable abode. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.} [Quran 3:200]

Should tomorrow morning come upon you while you are safe, Allah willing, go early to fight your enemy with courage, and seek the support of Allah The Almighty against His enemies. When the battle becomes fierce, betake yourselves amidst it and be eager to fight bravely when the army is engaged in combat, perchance you receive gain and honor in the abode of eternity.”

Her real name was Tumadhir bint ‘Amr ibn Ash-Shareed ibn Al-Harith As-Sulamiyyah. She was nicknamed Al-Khansaa' because of her bent nose bone and narrow nostrils.

Al-Khansaa’ (r.a) was a model of eloquence, and faithful patience in aspiring for the reward of Allah The Almighty, and was a virtuous woman who continues to inspire generations.

QuizTime (154): Who was that Sahabiya defended Islam and Muhammed(pbuh) during Battel of Uhud?

Ans: “Umm ‘Umaarah Nusaybah Al-Maaziniyyah” may Allah be pleased with her

Defending Islam and the Messenger, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, with the Sword.

Was the only woman who engaged in fighting in the Battle of Uhud. Dhamarah bin Sa‘eed reported on the authority of his grandmother who was giving water to the fighters in the Battle of Uhud, saying that she heard the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, saying: “The status of Nusaybah bint Ka‘b today is better than that of so-and-so and so-and so.” He said that because he saw her fighting fiercely, tying up her clothes up to her waist until she suffered thirteen wounds. When she died [in later years], I was among the women performing Ghusl [ritual purification] for her and counted all thirteen wounds of hers. [She added], I saw Ibn Qami‘ah hitting her shoulder and causing her a deep wound that she remained seeking a cure from for one year.

When the caller of the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, announced their march to Hamraa‘ Al-Asad, she put on her clothes to go, but she could not due to her bleeding. We stayed that night treating her wounds until the morning. When the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, returned from Hamraa’ Al-Asad and upon reaching his home, he sent ‘Abdullaah bin Ka‘b Al-Maazini, a brother of Umm ‘Umaarah, to ask about her.

After asking about her, he returned to the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, and informed him that she was fine, and the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, was pleased to hear that. Husayn Al-Baakiri commented on the participation of Nusaybah bint Ka‘b, may Allah be pleased with her, in the battle, saying, “Concerning the setting out of women for participation in battle with men, the only authenticated narration was the story of Nusaybah. Nusaybah joined the fight under necessity when she saw the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, in danger after the retreat of the Muslims. Umm ‘Umaarah was in a situation in which carrying a weapon is obligatory on the one who is able to, regardless of the gender.”

Fabricated narration follow as:

"On the day of Badr, the sword of ‘Ukashah bin Mihsan Al-Asdi broke down so the Prophet (Peace be upon him) gave him a log of wood which he shook and it immediately turned into a long strong white sword. ‘Ukashah went on using that same sword in most of the Islamic conquests until he died in the process of the apostasy wars.[ Ar Raheeq Al Makhtum[The Sealed Nectar  page 112]

During the battle of ʿBadr, ʿUkâshah was fighting bravely with his sword. He fought and he fought till it broke. He came to our beloved Prophet (pbuh) for help. The Prophet (pbuh) gave him a dry branch of a tree and told him to fight with it. Wait, WHAT?! He asked him to fight a battle with a branch of a tree?

The faithful Companion ʿUkâshah took the branch and gave it a little shake. Having complete faith in the Prophet and his Rabb, he turned to fight. Here the branch turned into a very strong and long white sword! This was one of the miracles of our Beloved . The faithful Companion fought the rest of the battle with this miraculous sword until Allah Almighty bestowed victory on the Muslim army over the disbelievers

End quotation:

The Status of Ukashah bin Mihsan Al-Asdi(R.a)

“…Then it was said to me, 'Look there and there about the stretching sky! Behold! There was a multitude filling the horizon,' It was said to me, 'This is your nation out of whom seventy thousand shall enter Paradise without reckoning.' "Then the Prophet () entered his house without telling his companions who they (the 70,000) were. So the people started talking about the issue and said, "It is we who have believed in Allah and followed His Apostle; therefore those people are either ourselves or our children who are born m the Islamic era, for we were born in the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance.'' When the Prophet () heard of that, he came out and said. "Those people are those who do not treat themselves with Ruqya, nor do they believe in bad or good omen (from birds etc.) nor do they get themselves branded (Cauterized). but they put their trust (only) in their Lord " On that 'Ukasha bin Muhsin said. "Am I one of them, O Allah's Messenger ()?' The Prophet () said, "Yes." Then another person got up and said, "Am I one of them?" The Prophet () said, 'Ukasha has anticipated you."[Sahi Bukhari Hadith 5705]

“…That talk reached the Prophet () who said, "These (70,000) are the people who do not draw an evil omen from (birds) and do not get treated by branding themselves and do not treat with Ruqya, but put their trust (only) in their Lord." then 'Ukasha bin Muhsin got up and said, "O Allah's Messenger ()! Am I one of those (70,000)?" The Prophet () said, "Yes." Then another person got up and said, "Am I one of them?" The Prophet () said, " 'Ukasha has anticipated you."[Sahi Bukhari Hadith 5752]

Note:

There is one more Daeef/ UnAuthentic Hadith circulating saying during the prophet last time He demanded  revenge from prophet for getting hit by the prophet(pbuh)’s stick, when prophet offer himself to take his revenge, he Huge prophet and start kissing him(pbuh). It’s totally baseless and unauthentic Hadith, we should not trust it.
