QuizTime(142): After what tragedy Muhammed(pbuh) invoked Allah’s wrath against certain people for 30 days in every  fajr prayer ?

Ans: The Tragedy Of Ma'una Well/ Murder of seventy of the best believers,

Prophet(pbuh) dispatch some of Companions to the people of Najd to call them to Islam, commanded that group, who were the best and most learned in the Qur’ân and jurisprudence. On their way to Najd they used to gather firewood to buy food for the people of ‘Ahl As-Suffah’ as charity by day and study, meditate on the meanings of the Qur’ân by night. They kept on doing that till they arrived at Ma‘una Well — which was a well in between Bani ‘Amir, Harrah and Bani Saleem.

They stayed there and sent the Message of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) with Haram bin Milhan, the brother of Umm Sulaim to the enemy of Allâh ‘Amir bin At-Tufail. ‘Amir did not heed the Message but rather ordered a man to spear Haram in the back. When the spear penetrated Haram’s body, he saw the blood and said: “Allâhu Akbar! (i.e. Allâh is the Greatest) By Lord of Al-Ka‘bah I have won!”Then the enemy of Allâh, promptly, called out Bani ‘Amir to fight the rest. Bani ‘Amir refused because they were under the protection of Abu Bara’. Therefore he turned to Bani Saleem for help.

The peopleof ‘Usaiyah, Ri‘al and Dhakwan, who were folks of Bani Saleem, responded to his call. The Companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), who were encompassed by idolaters, kept on fighting till they were all killed. The only survivor was Ka‘b bin Zaid bin An-Najjar who was carried wounded from among the dead. It was in Al-Khandaq (the trench) Battle that he was killed.

'Amr bin Omaiyah Ad-Damari and Al-Mundhir bin ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir, who were entrusted with the Muslims’ animals far from them, saw the birds circling in the air over the battleground. Al-Mundhir rushed to share in the fight till he was killed. But ‘Amr bin Omaiyah was captured. ‘Returning to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) ‘Amr bin Omaiyah conveyed the news of the painful disaster, which resulted in the murder of seventy of the best believers, and recalled the tragedy of Uhud but with the difference that those of Uhud were killed in a clear war but those of Ma‘una were killed in a disgraceful treachery. On his way back to Qarqara, ‘Amr bin Omaiyah rested in the shade of a tree, and there two men of Bani Kilab joined him.

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) was so deeply moved by this tragedy and that of Ar-Raji‘ that he used to invoke Allâh’s wrath against those people and tribes who killed his Companions. Anas reported that for thirty days the Prophet (Peace be upon him) supplicated Allâh against those who killed his Companions at Ma‘una Well. Every dawn prayer he would invoke Allâh’s wrath against Ri‘l, Dhakwan, Lihyan and ‘Usaiyah. He would say, “ ‘Usaiyah disobeyed Allâh and His Messenger.”

Therefore Allâh عزوجل , sent down unto His Messenger a Qur’ânic verse that we kept on reciting till it was abrogated later on: ‘Inform our folk that we have encountered our Lord and He is satisfied with us and we are satisfied with Him.’ So the Messenger of Allâh (Peace be upon him) stopped his invocation.

QuizTime (141): A "Father" advises his "Son"(Pbuh) to change the threshold. Who are they?

QuizTime (141): A "Father" advises his "Son"(Pbuh) to change the threshold. Who are they?

Ans: Ibrahim(pbuh)(Father) advised his son, Ishmael(pbuh).

The full Hadith Mentioned in Sahih al-Bukhari 3364.

In Brief:

After Ishmael's mother had died, Abraham came after Ishmael's marriage in order to see his family that he had left before but he did not find Ishmael there. When he asked Ishmael's wife about him, she replied, 'He has gone in search of livelihood.' Then he asked her about their way of living and their condition, and she replied, 'We are living in misery; we are living in hardship and destitution,' complaining to him. He said, 'When your husband returns, convey my salutations to him and tell him to change the threshold of the gate (of his house).'

"When Ishmael came, he seemed to have felt something unusual, so he asked his wife, 'Has anyone visited you?' she replied, 'Yes, an old man of such and such description came and asked me about you and I informed him and he asked about our state of living and I told him that we were living in a hardship and poverty.' On that Ishmael said, 'Did he advise you anything?' She said, 'Yes he told me to convey his salutation to you and to tell you to change the threshold of your gate.' Ishmael said, 'It was my father and he has ordered me to divorce you. Go back to your family.' So, Ishmael divorced her and married another woman from among them (Jurhum).

"Again Abraham thought of visiting his dependents whom he had left at Makkah, and told his wife (Sara) of his intentions. Abraham came to Ishmael's house and asked, 'Where is Ishmael?' Ishmael's wife replied, 'He has gone out hunting,' and added, 'Will you stay for some time and have something to eat and drink?' Abraham said, 'What is your food and what is your drink?' She replied, 'Our food is meat and our drink is water.' He replied, 'O Allah! Bless their meals and their drink.' Then Abraham said to Ishmael's wife, 'When your husband comes give my regards to him and tell him that he should keep firm the threshold of his gate. When Ishmael came back he asked his wife, 'Did anyone call on you?' She replied, 'Yes, a good looking old man came to me.' So she praised him and added, 'He asked about you and I informed him that we were in a good condition.' Ishmael asked her, 'Did he give you any piece of advice?' She said, 'Yes, he told me to give his regards to you and ordered that you should keep firm the threshold of your gate.' On that Ishmael said, 'It was my father, and you are the threshold of the gate. He has ordered me to keep you with me.'”

This story teaches us a number of lessons, including the following:

1-Gratitude to Allaah is a cause of His blessing being increased, and ingratitude brings the opposite. This is clear from the fate of both women.

2-It indicates how a woman should be: content and accepting whatever provision Allaah grants her husband without being annoyed or displeased.

3-One should be careful to choose a good wife who will help him with regard to the hereafter.

QuizTime (140): Bani Israel temporarily worshiped what statue after they left Egypt?

QuizTime (140): Bani Israel temporarily worshiped what statue after they left Egypt?

Ans: CALF

"Then he took out (of the fire) for them a statue of a CALF which seemed to low. They said: "This is your ilah (god), and the ilah (god) of Musa (Moses), but [Musa (Moses)] has forgotten (his god).'"

[Al-Qur'an ch 20 Verse 88]

"Then they worshipped the calf even after clear proofs, evidences, and signs had come to them. (Even) so We forgave them. And We gave Moosa (Moses) a clear proof of authority”

[an-Nisa’ 4:153].

About the Calf several places mentioned in the Qur'an [Ch 2 Verse 51,54,92,93,Ch 7 Verse 148,150,152, Ch 20 Verse 86,91,96]

Moses had been gone for forty days and his people were becoming restless, for they did not know that Allah had extended his time by a further ten days. Samiri, a man who was inclined towards evil, suggested that they find themselves another guide, as Moses had broken his promise. He said to them: "In order to find true guidance, you need a god, and I shall provide one for you."

So he collected all their gold jewelry, dug a hole in which he placed the lot, and lit a huge fire to melt it down. During the casting, he threw a handful of dust, making actions like a magician's to impress the ignorant. From the molten metal he fashioned a golden calf. It was hollow, and the wind passing through it produced a sound. Since superstition was imbedded in their past, they quickly linked the strange sound to something supernatural, as if it were a living god.

SAMIRI:

Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {Mûsa (Moses) said: "Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: "Touch me not (i.e. you will live alone exiled away from mankind); …} [20: 97].

The verse is reporting Musa 's saying to Samiri when he made a statue of a calf for Bani Israel and claimed that it was their god. Thus, his punishment in this life was to say: 'Touch me not'

Imam Qurtubi said: 'he was afflicted by insinuation and the origin of insinuation is from that time' . Qatadah said: 'such people still exist, they say to others "do not touch us"; if a person touched one of them both became feverish at same time' . It is probable that the diseases that struck Samiri were insinuation or fever. But they do not afflict him unless he touches somebody else or somebody else touches him.

QuizTime (139): "He will be a short man, pigeon-toed, curly hair" Followed by 70K people from central Muslim country. Who is He?

Please read the complete answer:

Ans: al-maseeh al-dajjaal(The false messiah) & Seventy thousand Jews people follow him from Central city of Iran  called “Isfahan”.

Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) instructed us to know well about Dajjal and not to get confused about him. Still Muslims having lack of information about Dajjal, they don’t study much about him, the greatest trial to Humankind.

“I have told you so much about the Dajjaal that I fear you will not understand. The Dajjaal will be a short man, pigeon-toed, with curly hair. He will be one-eyed, with his eye neither prominent nor sunken. If you become confused about him, then remember that your Lord is not one-eyed.” (Narrated by Abu Dawood, no. 3763. This hadeeth is saheeh – Saheeh al-Jaami’ al-Sagheer, no. 2455).

Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘The Dajjaal will emerge from among the Jews of Isfahaan, and with him will be seventy thousand Jews, wearing crowns.’” (Narrated by Ahmad, no. 12865).

It is stated in an authentic Hadeeth that the Dajjaal (Antichrist) will be followed by seventy thousand Jews from Isfahan (in present-day Iran). It was narrated on the authority of Anas ibn Maalik (r.a) that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “The Dajjaal will be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan dressed in Tayaalisah (sing. Taylasaan; a Persian mantle or shawl).” [Muslim]

Isfahan is a city in central Iran, known for its Persian architecture. currently IRAN  geo demographic/ political known for Islamic country & the Hadith says seventy thousand people from this city will follow him and there are Jews not Muslims nor  Shia(they call themselves as Muslims) means there are huge number of Jews people living in Iran disguised as a Muslims, they might holding very powerful position and running this country, eventually Dajjal will emerge from Iran only. Allah knows the best.

May Allah protect the Muslim ummah from all evil deceptions. Ameen Summa Ameen.

QuizTime (138): On which (day) Night Allah descends to the lowest heaven?

QuizTime (138): On which (day) Night Allah descends to the lowest heaven?

Ans:  Allah descends every night.

Hadeeth is a saheeh hadeeth which is proven in the soundest two books after the Book of Allaah. It was narrated by al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh (1145) and by Muslim (1261) from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Lord descends every night to the lowest heaven when one-third of the night remains and says: ‘Who will call upon Me, that I may answer Him? Who will ask of Me, that I may give him? Who will seek My forgiveness, that I may forgive him?’”

This hadeeth was narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) by approximately twenty-eight of the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) and the Ahl al-Sunnah are unanimously agreed that it is to be accepted.

The beginning and end of the third (of the night) differ according to the season. If the night is nine hours long then the time of descent begins at the onset of the seventh hour, until dawn comes. If the night is twelve hours long then the last third begins at the beginning of the ninth hour (from sunset) until dawn comes, and so on, depending on how long or short the night is in each place. And Allah is the One who grants guidance.” [End of quote]

QuizTime (137): Name the Sahabi who was responsible for the conquest of Egypt?

QuizTime (137): Name the Sahabi who was responsible for the conquest of Egypt?

Ans: Amr ibn al-As al-Sahmi:

His full name was ‘Amr ibn al ‘As ibn Wa’il al Sahmi; his kunyahs are Abu Muhammad and Abu ‘Abdullah. Ibn Ishaq and Zubair ibn Bakkar agreed that he became Muslim while he was with the Negus in Abyssinia, and he migrated to Madinah in Safar 8 AH. Ibn Hajar stated that be became Muslim in 8 AH before the conquest of Makkah, and it was said that it was between Hudaybiyah and Khaybar.

Amr ibn al-'As (r.a)(573-664) was the Arab military commander responsible for the Muslim conquest of Egypt in 640. Under the caliph Abu Bakr(r.a), he invaded Palestine and played a key role in the conquering of this region. Later, he was sent to Egypt by the caliph Umar(r.a) and defeated a large number of Byzantine forces at Heliopolis. He was the founder of Fustat, which became the capital of Egypt, and the 'Amr ibn al-'As(r.a) mosque, which was the first mosque built in Africa. As governor of Egypt, he treated the natives fairly and did not force them to convert to Islam.

“He achieved lasting fame, however, for his conquest of Egypt—a campaign that, according to some sources, he undertook on his own initiative. After defeating large Byzantine forces at Heliopolis (now a suburb of Cairo) in 640 and Babylon (a Byzantine town on the site of the present Old Cairo) in 641, he entered the capital, Alexandria, in 642. A successful general, ʿAmr was also a capable government administrator and an astute politician. In Egypt he organized the system of taxation and the administration of justice and founded the garrison city of Al-Fusṭāṭ adjacent to Babylon, where he built a mosque (still standing) bearing his name.”[ The Editors of Encyclopedia Britannica]

QuizTime (136) A community of Bani Israel continued to fish on Sabbath (Saturday). Allah transformed them into which animal?

QuizTime (136) A community of Bani Israel continued to fish on Sabbath (Saturday). Allah transformed them into which animal?

 Ans: Monkey

Maskh (transformation) refers to the changing of a person’s exterior appearance. Allaah has told us in more than one place in the Qur’aan that He transformed some of the Children of Israel into monkeys as a punishment for their disobedience towards Allaah. Allaah says, addressing the Children of Israel (interpretation of the meaning):

“And indeed you knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday). We said to them: ‘Be you monkeys, despised and rejected.’

So We made this punishment an example to their own and to succeeding generations and a lesson to those who are Al-Muttaqoon (the pious)”

[al-Baqarah 2:65-66]

And Allaah tells us their story in more detail in Soorat al-A’raaf, where He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And ask them (O Muhammad) about the town that was by the sea; when they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath (i.e. Saturday): when their fish came to them openly on the Sabbath day, and did not come to them on the day they had no Sabbath. Thus We made a trial of them, for they used to rebel against Allaah’s Command (disobey Allaah)

And when a community among them said: ‘Why do you preach to a people whom Allaah is about to destroy or to punish with a severe torment?’ (The preachers) said: ‘In order to be free from guilt before your Lord (Allaah), and perhaps they may fear Allaah.’

So when they forgot the reminders that had been given to them, We rescued those who forbade evil, but with a severe torment We seized those who did wrong because they used to rebel against Allaah’s Command (disobey Allaah).

So when they exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, We said to them: ‘Be you monkeys, despised and rejected’”

[al-A’raaf 7:163-166]

This transformation was a punishment from Allaah to them for their doing that which Allaah had forbidden to them.
